NORTH PLAT, Nebraska (KNOP) – The Nebraska Chamber of Commerce and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) School of Business today announced the 2023 Nebraska Business Hall of Fame inductees. • Mildred “Millie” Brown, Omaha Star (posthumous). • Jim Clifton & Jane Miller, Gallup, Omaha. • Ralph & Beverly • Anthony “Tony” Messineo, Jr., his Valentino’s in Lincoln. and • according to a press release by Wilfred “Dick” Tegtmeier, Beatrice’s Encore Mfg. Co. (posthumous).
Winners will be officially inducted at the NE Chamber Annual Meeting and the Nebraska Business Hall of Fame Banquet Thurs. February 2, 5:30 p.m. “This year’s honorees embody the vision, grit, and community loyalty often ingrained in Nebraska’s most daring thinkers,” said NE Chamber of Commerce. Chamber President Brian Sloan said. “The impact each has had on our communities, quality of life, state reputation and identity is awe-inspiring.”
These individuals join a distinguished group of over 130 business leaders whose efforts to grow businesses in Nebraska impact the free enterprise system, the Nebraska economy, overall employment opportunities, and community livelihoods. has had a significant impact on the quality of Candidates are nominated by individuals from the business community, business associations and academia.
The Ralph and Beverly Holzfaster Family, Agribusiness / Community Development, Paxton Ralph and Beverly Holzfaster did custom harvesting as early agricultural careers, proving new stubble mulch practices in dryland wheat. Adopting pivot irrigation technology in 1969, Ralph opened his Lindsay Manufacturing dealership in Ogallala. His ongoing efforts to advance agriculture, economic development, and ethanol opportunities include the Nebraska Ethanol Authority and Development Commission, the Nebraska Public Power District, the Keith County Economic Development Commission and Foundation, and the Mid-Plains. It is evident from his many years of service on several committees. He also serves on the boards of private ethanol and bioenergy companies, as well as the Community College Foundation. The Holzfaster family co-hosted his Cattleman’s Ball in 2013 and continues to be active locally, statewide and nationally in agricultural, economic development, housing and tourism initiatives, including managing Ole’s Big Game Steakhouse & Lounge. .
