Nashville, Tennessee (WTVF) — At Arnold’s Country Kitchen, every customer has a favorite order.
“So my favorites are definitely roast beef, mashed potatoes and two veggies. You can’t just get one veg, you have to get both veg,” says customer Lisa Goh. I was.
But whatever your order, customers keep coming back for the same reasons.
“I don’t know how many times I’ve been here,” Goh said. “They are like family to me.”
Its home-cooked flavors have been a Nashville staple since 1982.
But as restaurants prepared to close, customers lined up to taste the famous meat and the last bite from three restaurants on Saturday.
Owner Kahlil Arnold says it’s time to get out of business. “There will come a time when I must return to my family.”
Arnold said the property is in the process of being sold.
“This is a community owned restaurant because it is our customers who have fed us over the years to keep this going and they have kept us in business all these years. said Arnold.
But these loyal customers will be happy to hear: Arnold’s won’t be gone forever. “There’s another place or two, if not one.”
Until then, customers should savor their dining memories at the Nashville icon.
