Bowling Green, Kentucky (WBKO) – A petition is circulating in the county to add a wet/dry issue to the Allen County primary. They are available at many local businesses and online.
The last time the issue was put on the ballot was in 2017, when voters chose to ban alcohol in the county. Since then, local business owners have seen Allen residents go elsewhere to buy alcohol and make potential deals with them.
“A lot of people only look at the alcohol part, so you don’t have to drink it just because it’s there. But you’ll see the benefits from it in the county.” It’s going to be a wet county and that county will benefit from the money you spend there. Why not keep it in? Let’s see this place grow.”

“Businesses in Scottsville collect signatures for me and I run around once a week to pick them up and make sure everything is fine. I hope everyone signed counts.” Yes,” says Shockley.
Business owners and residents alike expect the benefits of wet county status, and some believe the transition is far behind.
Mr Shockley said: We want to grow and prosper and keep people in the county instead of going out and spending money. “
Signatures must be submitted by January 31, according to the Allen County Office. It must be completely completed by a registered voter in order for the signature to be considered valid.
