BISMARCK — A Las Vegas company called Nu Life Institute and its owner, Edward Baca III, are now banned from doing business in North Dakota, Attorney General Drew Wrigley announced Thursday, Jan. 19. bottom.
This, according to Wrigley’s statement, came after an elderly woman paid $844 for what she believed was a product to treat macular degeneration.
Macular degeneration is a disease that causes central vision to blur with age.
The woman did not receive the product she ordered from Nu Life, but according to Wrigley, the seller said it sold her cosmetics. Wrigley said he didn’t cooperate with either.
“The alleged conduct against the Nu Life Institute and Edward Baca III is as alarming as their refusal to cooperate with our investigation,” Wrigley said in a statement. Any deficiency is irresponsible and unacceptable, and we will not tolerate further risk of harm to consumers.”
