Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts stopped by Grand Island on Friday to visit a post-legislative session at the Grand Island Public Library.

Enck and Geis will represent Nebraska at national conventions and events.

The Central Nebraska Home Builders Association also appointed new members and officers. The directors are Burns, Enck, Fox, Geis, Dana Jelinek, Wayne Martin, Chris Meister, Barry Overmiller, Justin Oseka, Mark Reinforce and Ulrich.

Regional Sportscasters Earn Industry Honors

Kearney — One of Nebraska’s most respected sportscasters wins the highest state-level award in the industry.

The National Sports Media Association Doug Duda as Nebraska Sportscaster of the Year. Duda is the sports director at ESPN Tri-Cities and his 98.9 The Vibe. He also provides sports coverage on his Nebraska TV news channel.

Duda has hosted the “Doug & Daddy Show” on ESPN Tri-Cities for nearly 20 years, providing Central Nebraska with the region’s only daily sports talk show. The Ord native also provides play-by-play radio coverage of high school sports and his sideline coverage of television. His radio his sports updates have kept his local sports fans informed for decades.
