The Comerica Hatch Detroit Contest is looking for applicants to win $100,000 to open their next physical store in Detroit, Hamtramck or Highland Park.

The Hatch Detroit Program application is open for entrepreneurs to submit their business plans for the competition. Community members vote for their favorite business plan, and applicants go before a panel of judges.
Winners will receive funding to start their business, as well as accounting, IT, public relations and legal support. The application deadline is February 21st.
“This community competition will help bring the dreams of ambitious business owners closer to reality and will serve as an important resource for these budding entrepreneurs,” said Steve Davis, Comerica Bank Michigan Market President. said in a statement. “Hatch Detroit has left a lasting impact on Detroit’s economic dynamism by empowering entrepreneurship, rewarding innovation, and fostering the development of small businesses. We are proud to help entrepreneurs access the capital and technical assistance they need to take their small businesses to the next level and thrive.”
Previous winners include Little Liberia, Baobab Fare and Sister Pie. Hatch Detroit has invested over $13 million of her in the city’s economic development. The next winner will be announced in late April.
