Inside Air France’s new business class cabin

(CNN) — Air France has just introduced a luxurious new long-haul business cabin with sliding doors and redesigned seats on one of its Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.

The airline debuted its impressive 48-seat business class cabin, first unveiled last year, on a flight from Paris to New York on January 20.

The new seat can be converted into a flat bed of about 2 meters and has a sliding door, so you can create a “complete private space”.

Entertainment facilities are provided in the form of a 17.3-inch 4K high-definition entertainment screen, noise-reducing headsets, and Bluetooth connectivity that allows passengers to use their own headphones.

All seats have direct aisle access, but the middle seat is fitted with a central panel that can be lowered when passengers are flying together.

The new cabin will be available to business class travelers heading to New York, Rio de Janeiro and Dakar, Senegal this winter. As more planes are retrofitted, it will be deployed to other destinations later this year.

Last spring, Air France announced that 12 Boeing 777-300 ERs in its long-haul fleet will undergo ongoing upgrades over the next few months.

The aircraft’s 48-seat premium economy has also been upgraded, introducing a reclining seat model with 96 cm of legroom already available on the Airbus A350.

Air France is one of many airlines to introduce a luxurious new business class cabin.

American Airlines previously announced plans for premium suites with privacy doors and full-flat seats on its long-haul fleet.

AA’s flagship suite seats will be available on all Airbus A321XLRs and Boeing 787-9s from 2024, according to a statement released last year.
