Blaine Briggs retired from Louisiana Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company 36 years later.
Briggs has served as Executive Vice President and State Manager since March 2010. Under his leadership, Louisiana Farm Bureau Insurance raised his AM Best rating from B+ to A. Louisiana real estate. Biggs also helped locate the new Louisiana Department of Agriculture. He was heavily involved in the design and construction of the building, which opened in August.

Dr. Aaron DeWitt was appointed Chief Medical Officer in Baton Rouge General’s Mid-City Campus.
DeWitt has been with BRG as a Hospitalist since 2017. He has held various leadership roles, including faculty in BRG’s Internal Medicine Residency Program, Medical Director of BRG’s Skilled Nursing Unit, and Medical Director of Community Nursing Homes and Nursing Homes.
He holds a master’s degree in biomedical science from the College of Mississippi and a medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean. DeWitt completed his internal medicine residency at his General in Baton Rouge.
