SOMERS POINT – The Somers Point Business Association (SPBA) has announced the launch of the Lou DeScioli Scholarship Awards. SPBA awards his three $500 scholarships in the name of Lou DeScioli to students working at Summerspoint-based companies.
These scholarship awards are inspired by longtime Somers Point business and community leader DeScioli. He always believed that good business is one that strives to make its community better and more prosperous.
All high school seniors and current college students working in Somers Point businesses are eligible to apply and are eligible for the award. Applicants are required to submit an approximately 500-word essay describing the impact Summers has made on her business. The essay should also provide three examples of his showing how their efforts had a positive impact on improving customer relationships and business practices.
SPBA President Mike Smith said he is excited to award these scholarships to three highly motivated and well-deserved students. “Hard-working young people are the future of our community. We want to support them and recognize the contributions they have made to making Summers Point a better place for business,” said Smith. says.
