The Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to hold hearings Tuesday into allegations of monopoly practices and consumer abuse by companies like Ticketmaster.

The hearing follows issues fans faced when Ticketmaster pre-sold tickets for Taylor Swift’s upcoming tour in November. After widespread site crashes and waiting times, Ticketmaster canceled general ticket sales for the tour, citing insufficient tickets remaining.

Diana Moss, president of the American Antitrust Association, previously told PBS Newshour how the merger of Live Nation and Ticketmaster from 2010 would create a major monopoly.
